About ASR Laboratory:
Our research topics are autonomous systems and soft robotic manipulators, consisting of autonomous systems, novel soft robot design, legged robots (incl., humanoid robot and robotic dog), unmanned aerial vehicle, flapping wing ornithopter, and autonomous manipulation with AI approaches. Autonomous systems are developed by integrating the approaches and technologies of advanced artificial intelligence, deep learning, reinforcement learning, intelligent control, machine vision, novel sensor design, sensor fusion, simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) and human-machine interaction to perform the autonomous operation for intelligent robot and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The soft robotic manipulator researches focus on novel mechanical design and control methodologies, including continuum robots and concentric tube robots. The soft robotic manipulator projects further combine the abovementioned approaches and technologies to improve the autonomy capabilities.
